Daniels House

Making the difference for those living with or at High Risk of HIV/AIDS

Business Overview

Daniel’s House has been formed to fill the housing need for those living with life threatening diseases, if not treated. Our primary focus will be servicing individuals facing housing instability; who are living with HIV/AIDS or at risk for aquiring these diseases. In the near future we will also provide other support services such as counseling, nutrition support, shuttles to doctors’ appointments and other necessary travel assistance. We will achieve this purpose with various funding sources including the founder's own resources from his career and investments, as well as donors like you!

Success Factors

We are serving people who are falling through community support gaps. Statistics have shown that those living with HIV/AIDS live not only healthier and longer lives, when placed in stable housing but the rate of spreading HIV is reduced drastically as well!

"No one is concerned about doctors' appointments or taking medicine that require a specific time schedule, when you're looking for a place to sleep for the night or a meal for the day [some HIV medicines also have to be taken with food] ." - Zo

There aren't any known programs in the Northeast Texas area that service this specific community's housing need.

Founder/Executive Director

Alonzo Richardson | LinkedIn

Alonzo or "Zo", as he's lovingly called, was awarded "Problem Solver" in fifth grade. From there he went into high school helping classmates with their personal development. He became so good at it that the staff created an entire period for him to peer counsel students. Zo also spent three years in the Youth Education Program (YEP) at Pinole Valley High School where he'd go into middle school and educate classes about peer pressure and saying no to drugs. After high school Zo obtained a career in banking where he became a Customer Service Analyst and Trainer. In 2009 after over a decade in banking, he then moved to the deep woods of East Texas to oversee his family's ranch. This is where he found God and Spirituality as well as became an Ordained Minister. Today Zo is seeking funding for transitional housing for those who are faced with housing insecurity, a project that is so deep to his heart.
